We use Solidworks as our design tool to conceptualize, design, simulate, and create final drawings for our probe tooling solutions.  By creating everything in a virtual 3D environment, we can fully prove the usefulness of our design concepts without the worry of reworks and probe interference issues.

 

We use thermally stable materials for our tooling.  We use custom-made titanium components along with Thermofit extensions to remove most of the effects of thermo expansion.  We also supply silicon nitride probe tips as our standard probe tip material because of its durability and coefficient of friction attributes.

 

Other materials can be used if the project warrants it.

 

By using custom built probe tooling, we eliminate the need for additional cubes, extensions, joints, and rotary adapters.  There is never the concern that something may have moved after a collision.  In-addition, setting up articulating joints and rotary adapters to get probes at the proper angle can be a thing of the past.  Just screw in a new probe and everything is set and ready to go.
